Public Association “Association of Women with Disabilities “Shyrak” distributes rehabilitation equipment

An annual charity event to distribute rehabilitation equipment among 50 women with disabilities (wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walking supports, bathtub and toilet stools, etc.) took place on 28 December 2011 at the National Library for the Blind and the Visually Impaired in Almaty. The event was made possible by the support of Intergas Central Asia JSC.

International Conference on “Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Towards Equal Opportunities” took place on 21-23 November 2011 at Issyk-Kul (Bulan-Sogotu Village, Kyrgyzstan)

The Conference was organized and conducted by Public Association “Movement of Young Persons with Disabilities” (Kyrgyzstan) with the support from the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan.
